Rosalyn Ann “Rosie” Moser passed away peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Reinbeck, Iowa, where she had been a resident for a little over 2 years. Rosie’s memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Reinbeck. Inurnment will follow at the Reinbeck Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service at the church from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Parkview Manor Nursing Home, Cedar Valley Hospice or the United Church of Christ. Rosie was born on the family farm to Raleigh and Tena Robertson on January 11, 1922. She grew up outside of Reinbeck, one of seven children.

Rosie graduated from Reinbeck High School with the class of 1939. After high school, she attended business school in Des Moines, Iowa. Rosie married Leroy Moser, Jr. in Bethany, Missouri on April 26, 1941.

The couple remained in Reinbeck where together they raised 4 children while working in the family business, the Reinbeck Courier. Leroy passed away on February 10, 2004. For many years, Rosie was a very active member of the United Church of Christ in Reinbeck; prior to that, she was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Reinbeck.

She was a member of Eastern Star and P.E.O. Chapter DQ of Reinbeck. She was a member of the Oak Leaf Country Club where she and Leroy enjoyed playing golf together for many years. She was also an avid bridge player and loved playing most card games.

Rosie was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Rosie loved life, loved spending time with her family and loved doing for others. Rosie is survived by her two sons: Gregg (Mary Lou) Moser of Reinbeck, Iowa & Geoffrey (Christy) Moser of Ormand Beach, Florida; two daughters: Gretchen (Bob) Adams of Thompson, Georgia & Julie (Alan) Bachman of Reinbeck, Iowa; six grandchildren: Brian (Christine) Moser, Ashley (Tiffinee) Megonigle, James (Toni) Swift, Jason (Jennifer) Swift, Brianne Davis, and Erik (Jackie) Bachman; 13 great-grandchildren: James Swift Jr. (Megan), Madison Moser, Flynn Megonigle, Tyler Megonigle, Ryan Swift, Connor Swift, Lauren Elkens, Raquel Clark, Blake Davis, Landon Davis, Owen Davis, Sam Bachman and Dane Bachman.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leroy; brothers Henry, Harold and Paul Robertson; sisters Harriette Crowe, Dorothy Gardiner and Kathryn Richardson and a grandson-in-law William Davis.
