WLADIS, ROSALYN N. Rosalyn N. Wladis, age 92 of Elmira, NY, passed away peacefully at Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Monday, October 29, 2018. Rosalyn was the beloved spouse of Marvin Wladis, her husband of 65 years, who passed away in 2013. Together, they raised a loving family and ran Marvin’s Clothing Store in Elmira, NY.

In addition, Rosalyn ran the Clos’ Outlet adjacent to Marvin’s on Water Street. She was also the proud recipient of the Outstanding Mature Worker of Chemung County award while employed at Riverfront Medical in Elmira. Those who knew and loved Roz remember her as someone who could put a smile on anyone’s face, made everyone feel special and accepted, adored being around family and friends, and gave the best advice.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Louis Featherman, Donna and Mark Rothenberg, all of Elmira; sons and daughter-in-law, Marc and Susan Wladis of Lakeville, MA, Ross Wladis of Ridgewood, NJ; twelve grandchildren and spouses, Julie, Greg, Scott (Jenny), Amy (Jared), Graham, Arleigh, Brett, Evan, Adam, Samantha, Phoebe, and Harrison; three great-grandchildren, Micah, Caleb, and Jules. Roz is survived by her sister, Ruth Lipkin; brother, Harvey Noble; and sister-in-law, Renee Noble. Along with her husband Marvin, she is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Esther Noble; sister, Fran Ginsberg; and brothers-in-law Irving Lipkin and Robbie Ginsberg.

Roz was a long-time member of Congregation Kol Ami. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CONGREGATION KOL AMI 1008 WEST WATER STREET ELMIRA, ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31, AT 11:00AM. RABBI DR.

OREN STEINITZ OFFICIATING. INTERMENT TO FOLLOW IN FRANKLIN STREET CEMETERY, ELMIRA. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, St. Judes, or Chemung County SPCA.

Shiva and visitation will be observed at her residence on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 7-9 pm.
