Obituary for Rose C. Fuhs Rose C. Fuhs, age 90, of Jasper, passed away at 1:16 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, at Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born at St. Anthony, Indiana, on February 6, 1928 to George and Stella (Mundy) Buechler. She married John L. Fuhs on November 16, 1948 at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

He preceded her in death on July 30, 1992. Rose worked for many years at the former Jasper Glove Company in Jasper. Her memberships include Precious Blood Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality of Precious Blood and the Jasper Deanery Adoration Chapel.

Life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary to V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper. She was an avid quilter, quilted for 30 years for Precious Blood Church picnics and crocheting. She especially enjoyed playing cards and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving; Four daughters; Jane Blakeman (Eric), Henderson, KY Carol Hopf, Jasper, IN Donna Wendholt (John), Jasper, IN Susan Hollis (James), Columbia, SC Sons, Richard Fuhs (Ellen), West Lafayette, IN Don Fuhs (Pamela), Jasper IN John Fuhs (Cheryl) Ada, Michigan 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren One sister, Mary Knust (Donald), Ferdinand, IN One Brother, Charles Buechler (Betty) Bristow, IN Preceding her in death besides her husband John L. Fuhs are one sister, Sadie Hochgesang and three brothers, Jacob Buechler, Linus O. Buechler and Robert Buechler. Also one son-in-law, Daniel Hopf. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Precious Blood Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at church (10-11 am). Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday by the Precious Blood Sodality at church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
