Rose Lucia Reid September 15, 1937 – December 25, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences Rose Lucia Reid was born September 15, 1937 to Italian immigrants Erminia and Luigi Bazzi. She passed away peacefully on December 25, 2018, with her family at her side. She was raised in Petaluma, California with her four siblings and attended Petaluma High School.
She married Ronald Reid in 1961, and they moved to Lompoc, California where she was a housewife and mother. Rose was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking Italian meals for friends and family. Her brother Albino Bazzi along with sisters Elvera Offutt and Angelia Alvarez preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years Ronald Reid, son Michael Reid, daughter Debra Bazzi-Craig (Larry) and a brother Angelo Bazzi (Filomena) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Rose was well loved and she cared for everyone she met. She was a wonderful mamma and loving wife and will be greatly missed.
Her family wish to thank Lompoc Hospital Emergency Room and Cottage Hospital Medical Intensive Care Unit/Clergy staff for their unlimited compassion and care. The celebration of life will be held at the Starbuck-Lind Mortuary Event Center, 138 North B Street, on January 2, 2019 from 12:00-2:00 pm. Private family interment will follow at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery.
