Rosemary McGhee passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on October 2, 2018. She had just celebrated her 68th birthday. Rosemary was predeceased by her mother, Anna Leighton, her father, Frank Forrest, her step-father George Leighton, her brother Alfred Forrest, and her brother-in-law William McGhee.

Rosemary moved from Brandon, VT to Pine Plains, NY at the age of 17 to be with the love of her life, Thomas McGhee. Thomas survives at home in Pine Plains, and they have been married for 50 years. Rosemary is also survived by her four children, Thomas McGhee Jr. (Karen), Lynn Murphy (Craig), Lori McGhee and Lisa McGhee.

She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Dana, Ryan, Alyssa, Gwyneth, Hunter and Meridyth. She also leaves behind her beloved sister Patricia Morrison (Leonard), her brother-in-law John McGhee, her sister-in-law Barb Forrest, four nephews, Alfred James, Mark, Leonard Jr. and Shawn and her beloved cat Sally. Rosemary loved her family, loved cooking and baking for everyone, and enjoyed making crafts.

Her door was always open and everyone always felt welcomed in her presence. Calling hours are Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 2pm to 6pm at Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main Street, Pine Plains, NY. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11AM from the funeral home with Rev.

Carol Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Lung Association, 155 Washington Ave.
