OBITUARY Rosemary Starr April 26, 1937 – December 25, 2018 On Tuesday, December 25, 2018, Rosemary Starr, loving wife and mother of two passed away at the age of 81. A long time citizen of Tom Green county, Rosemary made her mark on the San Angelo community through her passion for service. After earning her degree in Arts and Psychology from Angelo State University, she spent 27 years working in rehabilitation of the blind and handicapped through the Concho Valley Association for the Blind.

As a dedicated member of Glenn Meadows Church congregation she served on welcome committees, food and clothing drives, and in small group leadership. She had a love for old treasures and owned antique booths all over San Angelo. Her efforts lead to the creation of the West Texas Button Club where she was known fondly as, “The Button Lady”.

Lovingly known as, Nani, her passion for her family and friends and her dedication to those individuals she held dear was never in question. She, quite simply, would do anything for anyone. Most importantly, Rosemary was a beautifully strong Christian woman who shared her faith with countless individuals daily.

Rosemary is survived by her husband Don, her two children, Karen and Jerry, her grandchildren William, Summer, and Addie as well as her four great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 30th at Johnson Funeral Home on Beauregard from 3:00 – 5:00 o’clock p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31st at Johnson Funeral Home at 10 o’clock a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals for the Elderly or a charity of your choice. The family would like to give their deepest appreciation for the love and care Rosemary received from the team at Concho Health and Rehab in Eden, TX as well as San Angelo Hospice over the last several years.

FAMILY Don Starr, Husband Jerry ~, Son Karen ~, Daughter William ~, Grandchild Summer ~, Grandchild Addie ~, Grandchild Mrs. Starr also leaves behind four great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.
