Rosie Odessa Askew August 07, 1925 – November 18, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Rosie Odessa “Peggy” Askew, age 93 of Odessa, Washington formerly of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018. She was born August 7, 1925 in Perry, Texas to Andrew and Sarah Owens. Mrs. Askew married Otis Askew on January 20, 1958.

She was a retired seamstress and a member of Union Baptist Church in Nevada County, Arkansas. Mrs. Askew was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otis Aubrey Askew; and daughter, Kathy Jean Stern. She is survived by one son, Mike Askew and wife, Dee of McCaskill, AR; four grandsons, Jerad Askew and wife, Erin of Blevins, AR; Timothy Grissom of Yakima, WA; Chris Grissom of Mount Vernon, WA; and Mike Heartsong and wife, Govinda of Chehalis, WA; one granddaughter, Meghan Barham and husband, Josh of McCaskill, AR; six great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Rufus Askew and wife, Ruby of Prescott, AR; and special friends, Carol Geist and Daryl Hovermale.

Cremation arrangements were made by Smith Funeral Homes of Stamps, AR, Thomas Street location. Online registration is available at www. aosmithfuneralhome.com.
