Rowen “JR” Widdowson, 64 of rural Ashland passed away Friday December 14, 2018 peacefully at home, made possible by an amazing dedicated caring groups of aides and nurses. Rowen was born October 10, 1954 in Lakewood the youngest child of Charles L. and Helen E. (Walker) Widdowson. He grew up on a family farm on Root Road Columbia Station and graduated 1974 from Columbia High and had been active in 4-H and FFA.

Rowen moved to the Ashland area in 1986 when he purchased a farm in Vermillion Twp. He farmed and worked for neighboring farms, Nagle Manufacturing Co. and American Wood Products. He was a member of the Ashland Co. Farm Bureau.

JR enjoyed the hay sales, tractor pulls and the tractor shows. Rowen is survived by a brother, Roger (Mary) Widdowson of Millers Creek, NC and a son, Dylan Widdowson of Loudonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Ruth Widdowson.

Graveside services will be 9:30 AM Thursday December 20, 2018 at Strickland Cemetery in Vermillion Twp. with Pastor Kenneth Hammontree officiating. There will be no calling hours.
