Roy E. Dyar, 80, widow of Sara Ella Shaw Dyar formerly of Anderson, died Monday, December 31, 2018 at Iva Rehab and Healthcare Center. Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Harold and Lillie Crawford Dyar. He was of Baptist faith.

Surviving are: son, Greg Dyar (Jan) of Anderson; brothers, Wayne, Gary and Roger Dyar; sisters, Pat Thomason, Sandra Lamb, Jenny Elgin and Debbie Brock; grandchildren, Regina Moberly (Jason) and Lillie Dyar; great grandchildren, Ella and Jaycee Moberly; special friend, Faye Broome. He was preceded in death by his sister, Harriett Dyar. Service will be held 10:30am Thursday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.

Travis Dyar officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6pm until 8pm at Cox Funeral Home.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Palladium Hospice. The family will be at their respective homes. Cox Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
