Roy L. Dorsick June 25, 1941 – May 02, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation Mr. Roy L. Dorsick, 77, of Hawk Point, MO, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Barnes/Jewish Hospital in St. Peters. He was born on June 25, 1941 in Pontiac, Michigan to Andrew and Garnet (Echtinaw) Dorsick. Roy was raised in Michigan along with his three siblings: Helen, Danny and David.

After graduating from high school, he moved to Chicago in 1962 to study art. During that time, Roy also worked at Sweetheart Cup Co. and this is where he met his “sweetheart”, Carol Short. It was a few years later that the couple was married in 1965.

Together they raised their children: Nicholas, Darrin and Tina. The couple moved to Michigan, then back to Chicago and lastly moved to Texas for Roy’s work at American Airlines. They lived in Texas for five years before moving to Missouri where he continued working for American Airlines.

Roy retired from American Airlines after over 30 years of dedicated service. He later worked at Dierberg’s in St. Peters. Roy loved to cut grass, work on construction projects at home, but especially spending time with his family.

He will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him. Surviving are his beloved and devoted wife of over 53 years of marriage, Carol Dorsick of Hk. Pt.

; his three children: Nicholas Kuesis of Hk. Pt. , Darrin Dorsick of Hk.

Pt. and Tina Marie and husband Gary Meyers of Catawissa, MO. He is further survived by his adoring seven grandchildren: Michelle, Brandy, Jimmy, Deanne, Amanda, Anna and Kelly and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his three siblings: Danny Dorsick, David Dorsick and Helen Dorsick. Private services to be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice, c/o McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1304 Boone St., Troy, MO 63379 (636) 528-8244.
