OBITUARY Ruby Holland Trammell March 22, 1921 – January 8, 2019 Ruby Holland Trammell of Pinson, Alabama began her eternal rest on Wednesday, January 8, 2019, at the age of 97. Because of the loving care given to Ruby by her caregiver and friend, Stephanie Amos and her brother, Scott Hayles, her goal of spending her last years in her home was accomplished. Born on March 22, 1921, she was the only daughter of the late John and Erie Holland.

A brother, Bennett Holland, predeceased her. Ruby married the love of her life, James Trammell, in April of 1940 and they enjoyed 56 beautiful years together until his death in 1996. She was a member of Pinson United Methodist Church where she served in many church leadership roles during her 85 years of membership.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Ben Trammell of The Villages, Florida; a niece, Sandra Carter of San Diego, California; nephews, Barry Hendon of Daphne, Alabama; and Wayne Holland of Decatur, Alabama. Funeral service will be at Pinson United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at 2 pm with a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow.

The family asks that memorials be made in honor of Ruby to Pinson United Methodist Church, PO Box 710, Pinson, Alabama 35126.
