Graveside services for Ruby Baker, 93 of Enid, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 2, 2019, in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. Kelly Russell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Ruby was born March 29, 1925, at Ames, Oklahoma to Russell and Ethel (Grace) Schoonover, and passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in Enid. She attended Ames High School. She married Arlynn Baker on September 29, 1942 in Enid, where they made their home.

In addition to being a housewife, Ruby worked part-time for a number of years at Marquis Studios. She was a member of Davis Park Christian Church and the Home Extension Club. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, sewing and quilting.

Family was her biggest joy in life, and she loved spending time with them. Ruby is survived by her children; Gary Baker of Fairview, and Janis McKaig and husband Tony of Norman, three grandchildren; Barry Kephart, Lisa Truman, and Tyler McKaig, three great-grandchildren; Jake and Ryan Wilcoxen, and Emma Truman, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Arlynn, daughter, Sharon Truman, grandson, Austin McKaig, granddaughter Cindy Wilcoxen, brother, Orville Schoonover, sisters, Lucille Oliver and JoAnn Flock Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation – Heart Division.
