Ruby Rachel Cathey Dunbar, age 84 of Mendenhall, Mississippi, formerly of Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 20 2019. Born in White County, Georgia on May 07, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Ralph & Docia Welborn Cathey. Mrs. Dunbar was a retired co-owner of J&R Dukes Auto Parts where she specialized in counter sales.

She was a member of the Old Nacoochee Baptist church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe R. Dunbar, Jr., brothers, William Cathey & Young Cathey. Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Roxie Dunbar Deese & Ed Deese of Mendenhall, MS; son & daughter-in-law, Joseph “Joe” R. Dunbar, III & Kirsty Dunbar of Sargent, TX; grandchildren, Evan Joseph Dunbar & Emily Grace Dunbar; sister & brother-in-law, Yvonne & Fred Lovell of Clarkesville, GA.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Flynn officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
