Russell’s Obituary Russell Eugene Durden, 85 Russell E. Durden of Babson Park, Florida passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born November 3, 1933 in Emmanuel County, Georgia to the late Lee Henry and Louise (Amerson) Durden. He was a retired Supervisor for Florida’s Natural.

He has been a resident of this area for 65 years. He was of the Church of God faith. Russell was a former member of the Lake Wales Elks Lodge, enjoyed music, playing guitar, singing in a gospel quartet and vegetable gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Barbara S. Durden, daughters Susie Durden Chance and husband Brian of Lake Wales, FL, Jennifer Durden Sorrells and husband Wesley of Cypress, TX, sons Wayne Lee Durden and wife Amy of Savannah, GA, Daryl Durden DePaul and husband Dennis of Jericho, VT, sisters Sharon Townsend of Swainsboro, GA, Beth Renew of Barnwell, SC, brother Dale Durden of Avon Park, FL, and 8 grandchildren. Memorial services are pending at this time.
