Russell’s Obituary Russell W. Hallman, 60, of Slatington, died Sunday, December 23, 2018 in his home. Born in Palmerton, Carbon County, August 4, 1958, Russell was the son of the late Forrest J. and Louise I. (Hankee) Hallman. He was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1976.

Russell owned and operated Hallman’s Service Station in Slatington, since 1976. Active in the life of his community, he was currently serving on the Slatington Borough Council, President of the Northern Lehigh Events Committee, and a former volunteer firefighter at the Vigilant Fire Company. Russell was a member of Bethel U.C.C., Slatington.

Survivors: Children, Russell J. Hallman of Slatington, Rebecca H.L. Hallman of Pittsburgh; companion, Gwyneth A. Jones with whom she resided and her daughter, Lacey E. Keller of Reading; sisters, Linda M. Nierer (Alex) of Slatington, Connie A. Rehrig (Clifford) of Slatedale; several nieces and nephews. Service: Funeral services will be held 10:30 am. Saturday, December 29, 2018 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with Pastor Henry A. Distler officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 – 10:30 am. Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Slatedale Cemetery.
