Bisby, 77, of East Moline, IL, died Friday, May 10, 2019, at Genesis Illini Medical Center in Silvis, IL. Services will be Tuesday, May 14th, at 1:00 pm, at Wendt Funeral Home in Moline, IL, with a two-hour visitation prior to the services beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, IL. Ruth was born January 10, 1942, in Moline, daughter of Robert and Mary (Farmer) Peterson. She graduated with the Moline High School Class of 1960.

She was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal, and later joined Kelly Staffing. After moving to Arizona, she worked for U.S. Customs and the D.E.A. She was active in pageants, and among several titles earned, she was Miss Rock Island Arsenal Angel.

Ruth enjoyed crafts and video games, and loved all her dogs. Survivors include her sons ,Kevin (Frances) Bisby of Raleigh, NC, Kelly (Chris) Bisby of Moline, Kai Bisby of Clermont, FL, and Kris Bisby of Davenport, IA; her sister, Sandy (Dennis) Boone of Apache Junction, AZ; her favorite brother, Steve (Roxanne, special friend and caregiver) Peterson of Coal Valley, IL; her grandchildren: Kelly, Nick, Brandon and Ashley Bisby, Taylor Garcia, Jordan Blalock, MacKenzie Clemens, Karri Muscara, twins John and Jacob Bisby, and Cynthia Bisby; and her great-grandchildren: Emry Bisby, Aubree and Kaylee Harmon, and Bryleigh Muscara. She was preceded in death by her parents.
