Ruth attended United Methodist Church in Upland and was also a member of Tri-Dice Club, Dana Sympathy Club and CPC Sympathy Club. She was also a regular to the Upland Senior Center for lunch on Wednesdays. She volunteered at University Nursing Home for several years.
She enjoyed watching football, especially the COLTS. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her family and the bigger it got the more she liked to brag.
She had a huge heart for her whole family and she even though she was blessed with her own huge crew of family members she made room for her friends and their children at her table. Ruth loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. Before she came down with health issues she would spend hours cooking and preparing for when her family and friends would come over.
Her favorite pastime was talking on the phone and she had a gift for sending cards to family and friends, for birthdays, holidays, special occasions or just because she was thinking of you. She was known for her smile that lit up a room and her good sense of humor. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her because she made everyone who came into contact with her feel special.
