Obituary for Mrs. Ruth Inabinet Berry Mrs. Ruth Inabinet Berry passed peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2018. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 on Thursday, September 27, 2018, in Piedmont Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Davis officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home, 200 West Church Street, Bishopville, SC. Mrs. Berry was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, Wallace Alvin “Bull” Berry. Born in Bowman, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Praetzel Inabinet and Frances Elizabeth McAlhany Inabinet.

She is survived by her son, Russell Wallace Berry and his wife Andrea Emiliani Berry, and her granddaughter, Hilary Frances Berry; her four sisters, Barbara Stokes, Martha Garner, Nancy “Nan” Avant, and Nell Smith. She is predeceased by her brother, Hugh Inabinet, and her sister, Doris Allen. Mrs. Berry was a 1951 graduate of Winthrop University.

She taught at Sumter High School, Camden High School, Ashwood School, Aiken High School, Greeleyville High School, and Robert E. Lee Academy. Mr. Berry finally finished teaching to help her husband run their farm. Mrs. Berry will be missed most for her kind spirit, warm heart, and giving nature.

Her strong belief in Christ will continue to inspire her family.
