OBITUARY Ruthie T. Alford June 23, 1940 – November 10, 2018 Ms. Ruthie Tew Alford, of Pearl, MS went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Ms. Alford was born on June 23rd, 1940 in Noxapater, MS. Ms. Alford is survived by her children: son, Al Sullivan (Rhonda); daughter, Kathy Sullivan Bounds (Rodney); son, Jerry McDill (Andrea); 6 grandchildren: Jeremy McDill (Brandy), Dorian Sullivan, Brittany Bounds Comans (Andrew), Cameron Bounds, C.J. Sessums, and Chase (Caitie) Sessums; 8 great grandchildren: Colby McCormick, Cole McDill, Liam McDill, Audrihana Sessums, Jeremy Sessums, Madelyn Sessums, Hunter Sessums; and a sister, Lavaye Steed, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Ms. Alford was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Clarsey Tew; her husband, Arthur Alford; her brothers, Emmitte and Jackie Tew. Ms. Alford made her home in the Pearl/Brandon area, where she retired from Reckitt-Benckiser with 40 plus years of service. She enjoyed gardening, attending Park Place Baptist Church and spending time with her family and friends.

Her influence and love will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl on Sunday from 11:30 -1:45 and a graveside service will be held following visitation at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, make donations to: St Jude’s Children’s Hospital and the Gideon’s.
