OBITUARY Richard Earl Ellis September 20, 1935 – December 21, 2018 Richard Earl Ellis, 83, of Pearl, MS, gained his wings on December 21, 2018. Richard was born September 20, 1935 in Vicksburg, MS. He was the baby of 8.

He graduated from Utica High School. Shortly afterwards, he joined the Air National Guard and then the United States Air Force and retired in 1976. He was a longtime member of Pearl United Methodist Church.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Lindsey Ellis. He is survived by his children, daughters, Donna Byrd (David) and Twyla Smith; son, Tommy Ellis (Dorothy); sister, Lanore Kelly (Clarence); brother, Sidney J. Ellis (Mary Lou); as well as 3 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law. Richard is survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and his special friend, Dorothy Kettleman.

Visitation for Mr. Ellis will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Pearl United Methodist Church.
