OBITUARY Gerald C. Tramell October 22, 1928 – January 22, 2019 Gerald C. “Jerry” Tramell, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Jerry was born October 22, 1928, in Bessemer, Alabama, a son of the late Barney and Dolly Belle Tramell. Jerry served our country with the U.S. Army Air Force from 1946 to 1949.

Following his military service, he was employed for more than 40 years with Western Auto, before retiring in 1994. His hobbies included fishing and camping, especially RVing trips with his wife to Alaska and the East Coast. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death in 2013 by his beloved wife of 67 years, Mary Cele Chambers Tramell.

He is survived by sons, Ron Tramell and wife Linda, and John Tramell and wife Shirley; brothers, Roger Tramell and wife Linda, and Larry Tramell and wife Pat; sister, Barbara Johnston and husband Walter; grandchildren, Angie Reaves, Shelley Skinner and Penny Pitts; and great-grandchildren, Matthew Reaves, Mason Reaves, Katie Skinner, and Dillon Pitts.
