Sallie Mae Parker Sharkey November 27, 1938 – March 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Sallie Mae Parker Sharkey, 80 of Memphis, Tennessee was born November 27, 1938 to Mae and Jesse Little in Grenada, Mississippi. She attended school and was very smart. After moving to Memphis, she met her love, Augustus Sharkey, an entrepreneur in the construction industry.

After marrying, Sallie began accounting for her husband’s construction company. She worked with him until their retirement. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her son Kirby Jackson.

She leaves precious memories with her devoted husband of 33 years, Augustus Sharkey; two stepdaughters: Marilyn Sharkey and Aurelia Sharkey; a god-daughter: Lillie Gossett, and a host of loving family members and friends. Visitation services will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Superior Funeral Home- Hollywood Chapel from 10-11AM with funeral services to follow. Burial will be at Memphis Memory Gardens.
