Obituary of Sally Colyer Sally Jo Colyer, age 70, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Sally was born January 3, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Samuel and Pauline (Polly) (Trautwein) Burton.

She enjoyed a loving childhood in Ottumwa, Iowa. Sally attended NEMO State University graduating with her BSE in elementary education in 1971; this would begin her career as an extraordinary elementary teacher. She truly loved helping and educating young children.

Sally was married to Judge Bruce Colyer on May 29, 1971 in Iowa. Sally was a great influence in her husband attending law school to become a lawyer and later during his career as a lawyer and becoming a Judge. Sally was a wonderful, playful mother to her children and grandchildren.

She always made them her top priority. She enjoyed socializing with her friends, shopping, antique hunting, reading and swimming. Sally was blessed with a warm loving soul and had a knack for always making you feel at home.

She was a loving wife, and a wonderful caring mother and grandmother. Sally will be sorely missed by all. She is survived by her husband Judge Bruce Colyer; son, Brian M. Colyer and his friend Lindsey and her daughter Megan of Camdenton, three grandchildren Skylar Colyer of Lake Ozark, Brooke Haley and Oliver Haley of Fairgrove, Missouri.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Polly Burton and daughter Laura Colyer. Memorials may be made to Blue Moon Sanctuary, P.O. Box 294, Linn Creek, Missouri, 65052 The family will welcome friends for visitation from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
