Obituary for William Culver (Camdenton) William Lawson Culver, son of Fritz and Laura Lyon Culver, was born, February 5,1935 in St. Joseph, Missouri, he liked to say he was born in Buchanan County! He departed this life, at home on November 17, 2018 at the age of eighty three years, nine months and twelve days. On November 27, 1987 in Harper Chapel United Methodist Church he was united in marriage to Nancy “Sunshine” Hertzler Culver.

Together they shared thirty years of marriage He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Chuckie Culver, and sister Nell Culver Wilson, his niece Mary Elizabeth Lowden. William Lawson was the Patriarch of his family. He will be watching over his wife, Nancy “Sunshine” Culver, of Osage Beach, Missouri,; his brothers, Steve Culver of Rocky Ford, Colorado and Pete Culver and wife Ginny of Peculiar, Missouri,; his nephews and nieces, John Wilson and wife Brenda of St. Louis, Missouri, Steve Wilson and wife Sarah of Harkers Island, North Carolina, Will Culver and wife Melanie of Rocky Ford, Colorado, David Culver of Peculiar, Missouri, Kim Culver of Florida, and Becca Culver-Turner and husband Tyler of Wichita, Kansas, and a host of other relatives and many friends.

William Lawson was raised in St. Joseph, Missouri and attended the School of Law at University of Missouri. After graduating Law School William lived in Jefferson City, Missouri. He then moved to Augusta, Maine, and then made his final home in Osage Beach, Missouri.

William Lawson made a profession of faith and was a member of Harper Chapel Untied Methodist Church, Osage Beach, Missouri. William Lawson was very active in his community, he was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta – Law Fraternity, Lake Area Performing Arts Guild, Lake of the Ozarks Brush and Palette, Much Ado Studios, and Harper Chapel Men’s Club. William painted the Children Mural’s at the Camdenton and Osage Beach libraries.

In his spare time his passion was art, camping, traveling, gardening, and growing Marigolds. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
