Obituary Mr. Salvatore “Sammy” Cosimo, Jr., age 95, of Thomaston, formerly of Cortland, NY, died on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at Riverside Health & Rehab. Sammy was the youngest of three sons, born June 4, 1923 on Dunsmore Ave in Cortland, NY to Salvatore Cosimo Sr. and Mary Zampino Cosimo. Drafted in 1943, Sammy proudly served in the US Army during WWII, battling in Guadalcanal and Japan.
