Sam’s Obituary Sam Salvador Lisotta, 87, of Lake Charles died Thursday, January 17, 2019 in a local care facility. Mr. Lisotta was a native to and lived most of his life in Lake Charles and thirty years in Singer. He was a graduate of Lake Charles High School where he played football.

He worked thirty years as an operator for Olin Corporation. Following his retirement, Mr. Lisotta enjoyed the great outdoors, raising animals, gardening, wood working and carpentry. He will be most remembered as hardworking, a man of kind and gentle nature and of faith and family.

He leaves to honor his memory, his wife of sixty-six years, Edna O’Kelley Lisotta of Lake Charles; son, Sammy Luke Lisotta of Singer and wife Tressie; three daughters, Cathy Lisotta Reeves, Gay Lisotta Gehrig and husband Doug of Lake Charles and Cindy Lisotta Beaugh and husband Tim of Scott; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Mariano Giardina Lisotta; four brothers, Ben Lisotta, Angelo Lisotta, Joe Lisotta and Johnny Lisotta; two sisters, Camille Lisotta Scott and Josephine Lisotta Baldwin; grandson, Jason Cole Reeves and great-granddaughter, Alexis Kaitlyn Robinson. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Sunday, January 20, 2019 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.

Deacon George Carr will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Sunday will be from 9:30 AM until the time of services in the funeral home.

A rosary service will begin at 10:30 AM.
