Rome, Indiana Samuel A. “Sam” Thorn, 60, passed away January 16, 2019. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on March 19, 1958. Preceding him in death were his parents, John William and Alice Dell (Ahl) Thorn and his nephew, John Williams.

Sam enjoyed mowing grass, listening to country music, watching westerns and scary movies, his dog and volunteering in his Rome community. Surviving are his siblings, Betty McBrayer (Randy), Cannelton, Earla Williams (Jim) and Mike (Becky) Thorn, all of Tobinsport; nieces and nephews, Kyria Christison (Dan), Kori Woods (Don), Logan Williams (Katie), Ashley Thorn and Billy Thorn and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM CST Monday, January 21, 2019 at Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel.

Pastor Ann Skiba will officiate. Burial will follow in Lamb Cemetery, Tobinsport. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 PM and Monday 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tobinsport Cemetery or the Rome Community Center.
