Obituary for Sandra G. Tyler Sandra “Sandy” G. Tyler, of Beloit, WI, died on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in her home. She was born on November 28, 1942 in Aurora, MO, the daughter of Rex and Theo (Mace) Linthicum. Sandy was a 1961 graduate of Will Rogers Senior High School, Tulsa, OK.

She married James Tyler on June 10, 1959 in Bentonville, AR. He predeceased her on November 14, 2009. Sandra was previously employed as a Dental Assistant while in Tulsa, OK until she moved to Beloit, WI in 1971 where she was employed by Kohl’s Grocery for ten years.

In 1984, she moved to Springfield, VA where she worked at Navy Federal Credit Union as a Loan Counselor until 1999. After retirement she lived in Newport News, VA and then moved back to Beloit in 2005. Sandy was a former member of Second Congregational Church.

She loved flowers and gardening, dancing with her husband, Jim, and made beautiful hand-crafted items that she would give as gifts to her loved ones. Sandy loved the holidays and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling around the United States, visiting Hawaii and most recently spending time with family in Lac du Flambeau, WI.

Survivors include her daughter, Laurie Velin of Ashburn, VA; sons, William “Bill” (Shelly) Tyler of Janesville, WI and Steve Tyler of Houston, TX. Grandchildren include Matthew Velin of VA, Michael Velin of WV, David Tyler of MN, Dane Tyler, Ryan (Stacy) Tyler, Danielle and Amanda Tyler all of WI. Also great grandchildren Reece, Kayden, Braylin, Layla, Trey and Keon.

Her brother Gary (Diane) Linthicum of Scottsdale, AZ; sister-in-law, Janice Haberle of Loves Park, IL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; brother-in-law, Richard Haberle and sister-in-law, Pat Goodwin. Funeral services for Sandy will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd.

, Beloit, WI, with Chaplain Mark Maxted officiating. Burial will be in Luther Valley Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 and will also be at the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium.
