Obituary for Sandra McKuen Sandra McKuen, 76, Sturgeon Bay, passed away September 20, 2018 surrounded by her family. Born on June 24, 1942, she is the daughter of Avis McKuen and the late James McKuen. Sandy enjoyed a long career at Door County Memorial Hospital, and Ministry Health.

She raised her family in Door County. Sandy was a master gardener and a very accomplished scrapbooker. She enjoyed the company of good friends from her book club and exercise group, and loved nothing more than visiting her children and grandchildren.

Sandy was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Sandra is survived by her mother, Avis McKuen (Park Falls); three children, Kerry Roodvoets of Huntsville, ON, Mark (Mary) Obernberger of Issaquah, WA, and Kelly (David) Lowden of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Mitchell (Chelsea) Roodvoets, Audrey Roodvoets, Abigail Obernberger, Meghan Obernberger, Emery Lowden, Skyler Lowden, and David “DB” Lowden, Jr.; great grandchild, Carter Green; brothers, James McKuen, Jr., Michael (Jean) McKuen; nieces and nephews, Tammy (Shawn) Rankin, James McKuen III, Wendy (Duane) Ryan, Michael (Tara) McKuen, Jr., and Mary McKuen. She was preceded in death by her father, James.

In accordance with Sandy’s wishes no formal service will be held. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sandy’s dear friends who helped her through her journey with cancer. We’d also like to thank the staff of Green Bay Oncology, St. Vincent Hospital, and Unity Hospice for their compassionate care.
