Sandy (Van Dorpe) Pfannsmith, 58, West Fargo, ND died on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 at Sanford on Broadway, Fargo, ND. Sandra Jean Van Dorpe was born July 10, 1960 at Marshall, MN to Andrew and Judy (McCoy) Van Dorpe.

At age 12, the family moved to West Fargo where Sandy graduated from high school. She moved to Texas in the early 1980’s and worked at Gerber Sewing Plant. Sandy returned to North Dakota in 1997.

She worked at Phoenix International now John Deere Electronics Solutions in Fargo. Sandy married Larry Pfannsmith on June 27, 2007 in Fargo. They lived in West Fargo.

Those who loved her called her Nana Nana especially cherished time with her grandson, Hayden and attending all his activities. Nana enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing, her dogs and playing BINGO. Sandy is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Jason (Lyndsee) Gothe and grandson, Hayden of West Fargo; mother, Judy Van Dorpe of West Fargo; sister, Melinda (Paul) Cripe of West Fargo; brother, Rodney (Sheila) Van Dorpe of West Fargo; three nephews and a niece and an “adopted” son, Terrell.

She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew. Funeral: Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 at 4:00 PM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo with visitation one hour prior.

Memorials are preferred to Roger Maris Cancer Center.
