Sara’s Obituary Sara Elizabeth Horton Todd, 91, of Charlotte passed away on March 19, 2019. She was born on September 30, 1927 in Charlotte (site of Garinger High School) to the late Harley Ross and Gladys Horton. Sara grew up in South Carolina and later married, Cecil Wilson Todd on December 4, 1948.

She had a career with Bell South Telephone as an operator, she was a beautician, but her most important job was being a wife and a mom. She is survived by her daughter, Penny Todd Turpin and son-in-law, Robert Paul Turpin, Jr.; granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Turpin; sister, Margaret “Jewel” Honey; and nieces and nephews. Services dates and times are pending at this time.
