Sara Ellen SaintOurs, age 76, passed away suddenly Sunday, November 4, 2018 at her home in Hingham, Mass. Sara was born in Portland, Ore. to the late Blaise Marcellus Stephanus and the late Muriel (Cohen) Bulmer.

A former resident of Seattle, Wash. and San Francisco, Calif. , Sara was a longtime resident of Norwell, Mass.

She worked for the Town of Norwell and Mohawk Rubber Sales of NE before earning a BS in Management from Lesley College. After receiving her degree, Sara headed a computer consulting and training business which served clients throughout New England and major U.S. cities. Her many hobbies included camping, tennis, sewing and crafting, gardening and playing the guitar.

She had a lifelong commitment to Girl Scouts and a passion for dancing, still serving as the treasurer for South Shore Dancers at the time of her death. Sara is survived by her children, Susan St. Ours of Cohasset, Sharon St. Ours-MacLellan and husband Andrew MacLellan of Norwell, Frederick SaintOurs Jr. of Norwell, grandchildren Audrey and Amelia MacLellan of Norwell, brothers Blaise Stephanus of Longmont, Colo. , Don (Debbie) Thornton of Seattle, former spouse Frederick St. Ours of Norwell, and longtime companion Robert Merritt of Rockland, as well as cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was pre-deceased by brother David P. Stephanus. Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, November 16 from 4 to 8 pm in the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 30 Central St. (off Rt 1223, near State Police Barracks), Norwell, Center. A Memorial service will be held at Linden Ponds on Saturday, November 17 at 10 am, 203 Linden Ponds Way, Hingham, in the Derby Clubhouse Performing Arts Center, followed by a gathering there from 11:30 – 2:30 pm.
