OBITUARY Sarah Ann “Sadie” Ricca January 14, 1948 – December 26, 2018 Sarah Ann “Sadie” Ricca – Born January 14, 1948, St. Joseph Hospital, Houston, Texas. Died December 26, 2018, Houston, Texas, from colon cancer. Attended St. Anne’s Catholic School, Lanier Junior High, graduated San Jacinto High School in 1967.

Retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Houston on December 1, 2018 after 51 years of service. Preceded in death by father, Joe Ricca, mother, Ann Marie Bono Ricca, sister, Frances Ricca Caskey, and beloved uncle/Godfather, Bennie Ricca. Survived by sisters, Palma (Pam) Ricca DeGeorge and Rosemary Ricca.

Sarah was a longtime member of Dachshund rescue. In lieu of flowers please donate in Sarah’s memory to the following organizations: Dachshund Rescue of Houston, All Texan Dachshund Rescue, and Dachshund Rescue, Education and Adoption Mission. Services will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home; visitation Wednesday, January 2, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. with memory sharing at 7 p.m. and funeral services officiated by Father Hung Tran Thursday, January 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. Per Sarah’s wish, there will be no graveside services.
