Obituary for Sarah Jane Couch Sarah Jane Couch, 63, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 in Springfield. She was born September 10, 1955 in Springfield to Lee and Mary Smith Couch. Sarah retired from nursing after 22 years of working at Mercy Hospital, various nursing homes, and Mueller’s (MRDD).

She was a ray of light to all she met, a beacon of kindness, and so giving and grateful for every moment of her life, greeting everyone with a smile full of sunshine, no matter what. Sarah is survived by her son, Matthew Lantz of Springfield; a daughter, Kassandra Lantz of Springfield; four (4) sisters, Barbara (Chuck) Gallagher and Jackie Viands of Virginia, Janet (Noah) Stidham of Springfield, Ohio, and Joretta of Missouri; one (1) brother, Ricky Couch of Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and many very special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mary Couch, four (4) sisters, Patty, Carol, Shirley, and Joyce, and one (1) brother, George, as well as her faithful canine companion, Zoey.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. on October 6, 2018 at New Day Christian Fellowship, 1023 West High Street, Springfield, Ohio to celebrate the life of this special woman loved so dearly by so many.
