Sarah Louise Shively, 94, of 543 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 6:20 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont. She was born June 5, 1924, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, a daughter of the late James and Ola (Gardner) Owen. On October 19, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, she married Kenneth L. Shively, who preceded her in death in 2003.

Sarah was a 1941 graduate of Chesterfield High School, South Carolina. She assisted her husband in the operation of K.L. Shively Appliance, Mifflinburg. When she was not helping her husband, she was known for her love of sewing and completed many alterations for the community.

She also owned Sarah’s Sewing Center. Sarah was a member of the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, Mifflinburg. Surviving are one daughter, Mary L. Jones, of Mifflinburg; one son, Dennis E. Shively, Millmont; one brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Mary Frances Owen of Chesterfield; and two grandsons, Matthew Jones and Michael Jones of Mifflinburg.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. A memorial service will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd. , Mifflinburg.
