Graveside service for Sarah Ruth Walker, age 77, of the Sherley Community, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Sherley Cemetery with Shane Carrington officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Walker passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Sunny Springs Health and Rehab.

Sarah was born on August 18, 1941 in Florence, AL to Lambert and Mable Mathney. She married Bing Earl Walker on June 13, 1978 in Florence, AL. He preceded her in death.

Sarah was a homemaker and member of Southside Church of Christ and former League Street Church of Christ member. She is survived by her niece, Holly Jo Walker-Kirk; Jo Spencer Malone and other loving cousins. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Lambert and Mabel Mathney; husband, Bing; father-in-law, Ezbon “Cherrie” Walker; mother-in-law, Mozelle (Adair) Walker; brother-in-law, Ronnie Rue Walker.
