Sarah S. Scates, nee King, age 98, of Glen Ellyn passed away September 21, 2018. Loving wife of the late Julian “Mack”; Dear mother of Susan (the late William Jr.) Clifford, Mary Scates Seiferth, and Julian Scates Jr.; Grandmother of seven; Great grandmother of four. She has been a Glen Ellyn resident since 1952 and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn and a member of the Glen Ellyn Garden Club.

She was an artist and sculptor and had a passion for golf and playing bridge. She was a wonderful mother who will be truly missed. Visitation Tuesday, September 25, 9 – 11 AM with Funeral Service at 11 AM at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn (630-469-0032).

Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn.
