Scott Michael Bressler, 68, formerly of Gaithersburg, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Broadmore Senior Living in Hagerstown. Born Sunday, March 5, 1950, in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of Barbara Bressler of Las Vegas, Nevada, and the late George Bressler. An alumni of University of Miami, he enjoyed being on the staff of The Miami Hurricane newspaper.

He was also a CPA, and for some years owned his own company in the practice of adult education. Scott loved working abroad. He enjoyed spending time with his dog Roscoe as well as volunteering and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving besides his mother, are daughters, Stacy Bressler – Maginnis and husband Michael of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, and Hana Bressler of Boston, Masschuetts; his sister, Ellen Levine and husband Larry of Las Vegas, Nevada; and former spouse, Karen Melcher of Gaithersburg. A private graveside service was held Thursday, July 12, 2018, 10:00 AM, B’Nai Abraham Cemetery, 17517 Virginia Avenue. , Hagerstown, with Rabbi Ariel D. Plost of the Congregation B’Nai Abraham officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Bressler’s name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742.
