OBITUARY Scott Varnum March 30, 1963 – July 23, 2018 Tyrone Scott Varnum, 55, of Supply died Monday July 23, 2018 at Novant Brunswick Medical Center. Mr. Varnum was born in Brunswick County on March 30, 1963 and was the son of Herbert “Midgette” Varnum and Jeanette R. Varnum of Varnamtown. Scott was a talented landscaper and loved spending time in the Lockwood Folly River net fishing and striking for flounder.

When Scott was a young man he earned a black belt in karate and was an avid ball player. He was a devoted husband, father and loved his grandchildren dearly. Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Donna Pait Varnum; two daughters, Alyssa Coleman (Justin) of Supply, Alexis Varnum of the home; grandchildren, Josie, Conner, Katherine, Asher, Everett, Axel; two brothers, Michael Varnum (Lauren) of Graham, Tony Varnum (Lori) of Varnamtown.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday July 28, 2018 at three o’clock in the afternoon at Word of Christ Fellowship, 1290 Stone Chimney Road, Supply with Pastor Gerald Kirby officiating. Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. www.
