Sharon Renee Hardy was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6th, 2019 after a courageous battle with a long-term illness. She was born April 16th, 1962 to Willie W. Hardy and the late Irene Pounds Hardy in Danville, VA. She received her formal education from Newport News school system.

She gave her life at an early age to Rising Star Christian Church in Newport News, VA. She later joined church at Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Temple in Hampton, VA. She took great pleasure in relaxing and listening to her favorite oldies “but goodies” music, watching Tyler Perry movies, In the Heat of the Night, and Walker Texas Ranger.

She enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers. Everyone that Sharon came across she left a lasting impression upon. Sharon and her dad were like two peas in a pod.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Irene Pounds Hardy, her brother Melvin Hardy and Evelyn Hardy Goode. She leaves to cherish memories two brothers: Willie L. Hardy and Vernell Hardy (Carol); three sisters: Mary Hardy Goode (Henry), Jo Ann Hardy Jones, and Carolyn Hardy Garrett, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Sharon has two special uncles; Joseph and Roy Hardy, and one special aunt, Emma Barksdale.
