Sheila Maxine Joy (67) of Johnstown passed away December 18, 2018 at her home. Born January 10, 1951 in Philadelphia, daughter of Charles and Rosalie (Joy) Webb. Preceded in death by her parents, her foster parents Mallie and Oneill Holmes, sister Mercedes joy, brother Charles Samuel Webb and cousins Sylvester Holmes and Reginald Stephens.

Survived by her sister Frances Webb, stepson DeShawn Lieb, nieces and nephews Charles William Webb, Tamara (Davis) Hughes, Dennis David, Jr and their children. Also survived by family members Frances Stephens, Sara Joy, Mr. and Mrs. Lenny Joy, Lance, Carl and Marie, Donald, Jerry, Randy, Deatrice, Pamela, Dorothea, Stephanie Stephens, Rhonda Lynn (Stephens and Brad Coleman. Sheila received baptism at Mt.

Sinai Institutional Baptist Church and was a graduate of Conemaugh Valley School District. She received computer training in Philadelphia where she held numerous positions before returning to Johnstown to retire. She will be remembered as outgoing and free spirited.

But also displaying fierce loyalty, compassion, caring and love for her family. She was a member of Senior Life Day Care Center and frequently visited with her numerous friends including those she grew up with on Chestnut St., attending Bingo with her friend Mary Jo from Conners Towers and sharing laughs and fellowship with friends in Vine St. Towers especially her friend Betty. Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service from 1 – 3PM Friday December 28th at Vine St. Towers Community Room.
