Sheila Carney Gorg of Jeffersonton, VA passed away on December 13, 2018 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. She was born on December 15, 1943 in Miami, FL to the late Arthur William Carney II and Nora Marie Carney. She was preceded in death by her brother Arthur William Carney III.

Sheila was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, Culpeper, VA and an editor for the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. She is survived by her husband, Roger John Gorg and her sons, Roger John Gorg, Jr and Brian Douglas Gorg both of Warrenton, VA. Also surviving are her sister, Patricia Carney Reilly of Latrobe, PA, her daughter-in-laws Kristina Gorg and Megan Gorg both of Warrenton, VA, and her grandchildren, Emma, Bridgette, Tailyn, Norah, Addie, Brendan, Sebastian, and Naomi Gorg.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, VA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2 PM at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Culpeper, VA. Inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to St. Vincent de Paul, P.O Box 3539, Warrenton, VA 20188.
