Sherron Lea Williamson Boren, age 81, of Montwell, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on September 29, 2018. She finally got the wish of her heart to go home to her Heavenly Father, to be with her husband, son, mother and father. Sherron was born February 20, 1937 to Shirley and Wilma Smuin Williamson in Vernal.
She was named after her fathers favorite flower the Rose of Sharon. She was as beautiful as the flower she was named for. She married Duane Boren, April 11, 1952.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on March 24, 1966. Together they had 6 children which was the joy of their lives. After Duane’s death in 1992 Sherron married LaMar Givens.
He passed away in 2017. Sherron was a very hard worker. She worked right along side her husband on the ranch doing whatever it was that he needed her to do.
She loved flowers of all kinds and had a beautiful yard. She also created a beautiful home for her family with her homemaking skills. She was a great cook and made the best pies you ever tasted.
She enjoyed music. She was a very talented woman. She crocheted beautiful things, loved to sew and made many quilts.
She loved to oil paint and she painted many pictures and won several awards at the UBIC. Each of her children and grandchildren have several pictures she painted hanging in their homes. Every time she pained a new one, everyone begged to have it.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She taught primary and was really happy when she served as the Relief Society Secretary. More than anything she cherished her family.
Her children and grandchildren were everything to her and she would do anything for them. The most important thing to her was for her family to know how much she loved them. Sherron is survived by her children, Sharrol (Kim A) Anderton, Duane Jr. (Glenna) Boren, Mary (Kim) Blanchard, Terry (Cory) Christensen, David (Cheryl) Boren, daughter-in-law, Meitra Boren all of Roosevelt; 19 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Sisters, Gayla Thompson, Denver, CO; Carol Evans, Sourlake TX; Gaylynn Boren, Safford, AZ; Nada Hatch, Marlene Chivers, Lana Belless, Ellen Hague and brother, Danny Williamson, all of Vernal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane, son, Lucky, son-in-law, Tracy Monks, her husband, LaMar, her parents, and brothers, Wade and Billy and a sister. Sheila Clark.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 11:00 a.m.,October 4, 2018 at the Neola LDS Chapel. A viewing will be held from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.
