Obituary for Sherry Ann Mandigo Long time Highland resident and Volunteer. Sherry Ann Mandigo passed peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 9, 2018 with her daughters by her side. Sherry was a 60 year resident of the City of Highland, where she and her late husband raised their four children.

Sherry worked for over 40 years in the food service field. She worked for the San Bernardino Unified School District as a Noon Duty and Food Service Officer, Patton State Hospital, and retired from her favorite duty in the Juvenile Hall Kitchen. During retirement, Sherry opened her own consignment store in Highland called “Sherry’s Treasure Chest”.

Sherry loved meeting people, helping community members, and spending time with her dogs. She loved working around her house to have the perfect backyard. Sherry always had an open house to any friends who needed someone to talk to or a safe place to go.

She mostly loved her Grandchildren and spending time with her daughters. Sherry was a long time volunteer for the Citizens on Patrol with the Highland Sheriff Department, member and volunteer of the Highland Senior Center and member of the American Legion Post 106. Sherry was a wonderful Mom, Grandma, and friend to all that she met.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Mandigo and her son Mark Mandigo. She is survived by her three daughters Bunny (Butch) Beyerle of Highland, Joyce (Jay) Brimmer of Lake Havasu, and Penny Lilburn (Jeff) of Highland. Her five Grandchildren, Nicholas Morris (Teresa), Brandi Brimmer, James Dunham (Andrea), Jason Dunham, and Courtney Corcoran (Alex).

And her three Great-Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dunham, Alexis Zittrauer, and Matthew Dunham. A reception for Sherry will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at 7343 Olive Tree Lane, Highland, CA 92346 In Lieu of flowers, please donate to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund or Alzheimer’s Association.
