Shielah Rosetta Hurd Funeral services for Shielah R. Hurd will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Skiatook Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Mitch Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Osage Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home. Shielah R. Hurd, age 63, of Skiatook, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at her Skiatook residence.

Shielah was born May 8, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Paul Marion and Kathleen Marville (George) Hurd. Shielah grew up and received her education in Skiatook where she graduated with the Class of 1973. Shielah also attended TCC and the Texas College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Associates Degree in Travel.

Shielah had been employed with Avis Car Rental, Jefferson Tours, Crossing Guard for the City of Skiatook, substitute teacher for Skiatook, Sperry and Collinsville Public Schools. Shielah was also hired full time with the Collinsville Public Schools where she was a Professional Aid. Shielah was a member of the Skiatook Free Will Baptist Church.

Shielah liked working with crafts and traveling. Shielah was preceded in death by her father Paul Hurd. Shielah is survived by her son; Brandon Hurd, her mother Marville Hurd, brother; Lyle Hurd and wife Pauline, also nieces, and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Music for the services will be: “Pennies From Heaven”, “Beulah Land”, “Angels Among Us” and “Amazing Grace”. Pallbearers for the services will be: Bryan George, Lynn Stalnaker, Joe Raines, Bill Hiser, Don Hiser, Brandon Hurd, Steve Moyer and Troy Hurd. Honorary pallbearers will be: The Class of 1973 and Travis Hurd, Jimmy Hurd, Justin Mitchell, Johnny Mitchell, Phillip Hudson, Darren Latty and Adam McKay.

The family of Shielah R. Hurd entrusted her care and services to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.
