OBITUARY Shirley Davis July 17, 1935 – November 9, 2018 Shirley Ann Davis, age 83, of Trussville, Alabama went home to glory on Friday November 9, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter F. Davis and granddaughter, Wendy Grimes. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Tony) Claborn; Donna (Chris) Venus; grandchildren, John Walter Grimes, Christa Smith, Melissa Smith, Melissa Hall, and Kyle Claborn; 17 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by one sister Viki Jones, and two sister-in-law’s Barbara Harlow and Lois Harris. She is a long time member of Deerfoot Baptist Church, and most importantly she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and sewing, and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

She enjoyed serving others and volunteered in various capacities with the local PTA serving in numerous positions. She also worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Orthopedic Surgeons East. After retirement, she worked as a disaster application specialist with FEMA.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 2:00PM at Deerfoot Baptist Church, 5450 Mt. Olive Church Road, Trussville, AL 35173 Phone: 205-655-0798. The family will receive friends at the Church from 1:00PM until 2:00PM on Tuesday.
