Shirley J. Kutney (nee Wheeler), 70, of North Ridgeville, passed away Thursday September 6, 2018 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain following a brief illness. She was born January 24, 1948 in Cresson, Pennsylvania. She earned her Associates Degree in Business from Bryant & Stratton College.

Shirley was employed as a supervisor at Quadax Medical Billing Services and retired in 2010. After retiring, Shirley said that it was the best thing that she ever did because she could spend more time with her family and especially her grandchildren! She was a woman of deep faith and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.

Shirley Kutney is survived by; her husband of 50 years, John Kutney I; one daughter, Kathleen Darroch (Scott) of Avon; three grandchildren, John Kutney III, being raised by his grandparents, and by Jenna and Julia Darroch; sisters-in-law Terri Wheeler of Parma and Anna Mae Williams of North Royalton; one special nephew, Brian Eger; and by many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by; her son, John Kutney II in 2016; her brother, Rusty Wheeler in 2007; her sister, Beverly Eger in 2016 and by her parents, Clifford and Sarah (nee Conrad) Wheeler. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday September 14, 2018 at 4:00pm at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd.
