Obituary for Thomas Anthony Carpenter Sr. Thomas Anthony Carpenter Sr., age 73, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born on January 13, 1945 in Kearney, Nebraska and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 20 years, moving from Seattle, Washington. Tom worked as an executive for Key Bank, retiring in 2010.

Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing, and also loved listening to jazz and blues music. He is survived by his wife Laurie (nee Gerlach); sons Thomas A. Jr. (Dodie) Carpenter and Christopher A. (Ann Marie) Carpenter, both of Washington; grandson Bradlee Carpenter; sisters Deanna Gifford, Judith (Bill) Isaac and Nancy Edwards; sister-in law Joan Carpenter; many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Melva (nee Payne) Carpenter; brothers Lester and Richard Carpenter; sisters Patricia Carpenter and Linda Fisk.

A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St Clair Ave, Cleveland 44110.
