OBITUARY Shirley May Reese November 11, 1930 – September 15, 2018 Shirley Reese, 87, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday at the West Des Moines Christian Church with interment at Resthaven Cemetery. Shirley was born on November 11, 1930 in Des Moines, the daughter of Bryce and Edna (Watts) Morehouse.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed many hobbies which included; riding motorcycles, crocheting, cooking, collecting memorabilia, watching Nascar races and spending time with her family. She was a member of the West Des Moines Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star-Heartland Chapter and the American Motorcycle Association. Shirley is survived by her sons, Arthur (Jane) of Des Moines and Gary (Rita) of Lemon Grove, CA; daughter, Julie (Steve) Hudson of West Des Moines; sister, Brenda (Bill) Clair of West Des Moines; 9 grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, and sister, Norma Feori. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday evening at McLaren’s Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be directed to West Des Moines Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
