Obituary for Shirley Wirick Shirley Wirick Lakeland – Shirley Wirick, 77, passed away June 23, 2018. Shirley was born on May 5, 1941 in Gary, Indiana, and remained a lifelong resident of Gary until her move to Florida in 2015. She was 1959 graduate of Merrillville High School and worked for Lake Ridge Schools for 45 years as Treasurer until her retirement in 2004.

Shirley served as a deacon at Living Hope Church in Merrillville, IN for 16 years. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Wilber and Gladys Wirick; brother, Kenneth Wirick; and sister in law, Barbara Wirick. She is survived by her brother, James Wirick; and sister in law, Joanne Wirick.

A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, July 17th at 11 am at Bethel Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church Mission Programs, 3125 W. Socrum Lp. Rd.
